Active Training Awards Categories

Training Provider of the Year
This award is aimed at training providers that best support workforce development within the sector and deliver high quality skills and education services to clients. The training provider should demonstrate consistent high quality and innovation.
Employer of the Year
This award is aimed at learning and development teams within employers that provide a notable programme or initiative to support and develop their employees. The employer organisation must pay the learner and provide the working environment for the learner.
Apprenticeship Provider of the Year
This award is aimed at providers that demonstrate excellence in the provision of single or multiple apprenticeship programmes across the sector.
Innovative Training Provider of the Year
This award is aimed at any education and training programme (formal or informal) where the content, delivery, assessment (if present), learner support etc, demonstrate a unique and pioneering contribution to overall learning and learners journey.
Best Use of Technology
This award is aimed at e-learning platforms and innovative digital solutions that support learners, enabling flexible and interactive learning.
Health and Wellbeing Training Programme – Targeted Population
This award is aimed at an education & training programme that enables physical activity professionals to support a targeted population, including but not limited to: Exercise referral / inactive populations, kids, older adults, pre/post-natal, chronic disease sufferers, special needs, rehabilitation.
Supplier Learning and Development Provider
This award is aimed at UK suppliers to the physical activity sector (product or service) that provide exceptional education and training to support their clients to get the best results.
Activity Champion of the Year
This award is aimed at an individual activity professional who can demonstrate both an undoubted commitment to learning, fantastic levels of achievement whilst inspiring both colleagues and consumers every-day. The individual must be nominated by their training provider or employer, and must have undertaken CPD within the last 12 months.

Why Enter the Active Training Awards 2016?

1. Raise your profile
Demonstrate your achievements to your customers, employers, employees, stakeholders and competitors. Finalists and winners will receive a logo to use on marketing materials, and case studies will be circulated to the ukactive database of over 10,000 members of ukactive & CIMSPA via a dedicated e-zine, journal article, and through key leisure trade media.

Regardless of whether you reach stage two, or become a finalist or winner, you will receive advice and guidance on how to improve your practices.
